A 15th century coaching inn, run for 29 years by the Clift family and managed by sisters Annie and her team. They place huge importance on organic and locally produced ingredients, growing their own chemical free vegetables, herbs, and salad leaves. Nearly everything they sell is made ‘in house' bread, preserves, black pudding, raised pies, puddings etc, etc. Wild food is gathered from the fields and hedges round about – no processed food is brought in.
